Let me pose to you a thought experiment. Place yourself in the following scene.
Imagine that your idea of God, a magical being of omniscience and love, comes down from the sky. The sky immediately turns a pastel rainbow as far as you can see and the air seems to shimmer with glitter. You could swear you hear this being humming Beyoncé. You would tell yourself that you’re experiencing a stroke or that you’re high except that you feel more alive and awake than you ever have before and you’re filled to the brim with calm. And anyway, you’re fresh out of weed gummies.
The god says to you, “There isn’t much time left to save humanity so I’m offering you a spoiler. I’m here to tell you one of the great truths. Are you ready? Sit down.”
